Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LSCSW
Mental health and wellness are important; I am here to help.
I graduated with Bachelors’ degrees in Psychology and Criminology from KSU, and later a Master’s in Social Work degree, with a concentration in mental health, from Washington University in St. Louis. The Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis is consistently ranked as one of the top schools of social work in the country. During this time I was able to specialize my education and training experience to best fit the role of a mental health therapist.
I have clocked hundreds of hours receiving extensive and on-going training related to trauma informed care and practices. This includes being nationally certified in TF-CBT and being trained in EMDR. I am currently pursuing other certifications in traumatology and related evidencided based practices.
Other areas of interest and practice including marked training in the implementation of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Borderline Personality, alleviating sleep disturbances, and addressing the unique needs of blended families.
I completed my Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker training in 2015, and have over ten years of experience working with children, adults, and families in various practice settings. I am able to work with individuals ranging from five years and up, and can address most mental health needs by utilizing a variety of practice models.
